10 years ago we created this song. 15 people came together to help bring it to life. We only played it once, in pieces, with just the three of us. After the song was done we didn't know what to do with it. So for a decade it sat undisturbed until now. We are grateful for everyone who supported us on our musical journey as Hunters & Anglers. This is for all of you.
lyrics
Young eyes they open to
a never ending fearless world of
hope a fearless tune
they lay their bodies and hands down
speed a cunning clue
run with no fear now no fear now
I don’t have the energy
to explain the sound to you
young minds make the melodies
and make a fool out of you
I see a hallowed groove
in a world of endless possibilities
to me an open wound
a blow I never thought I ever could forsee
Run with no fear now
lay your hands down
The sound well it rang through
like a hundred thousand trumpets on the street
Run
Distraught or broken through
their schemes will all be blunders in the end
the speed of blood runs true
when the harnesses of anger start to take
Run with no fear now
lay your hands down
Dismay a callused word
for broken shredded fingers make no fist
Run
I don’t have the energy
to explain the sound to you
young minds make the melodies
and make a fool out of you
Won’t let myself be cast down
all the hopeless romances
all the broken promises
and I can not feel my sins
or forgive myself
